Faces in the Bazaar

There are cherished memories of listening to Dashrath Patel whenever he talked about the world that he discovered every day through the photography, the collages and the design experiments that his life was filled with. When he spoke, he described what his mind’s eye saw and it was this beautiful sharing that I am grateful for as I remember him today.

These are just some more pictures from the Kadlekai Parishe at Basavanagudi ...

Meena : It was a pleasure to see so many children and young people at the Fair. Of course, I had no idea what to expect. It was the first time at a Groundnut fair!

Geeta: Thanks for dropping by.

Returning to your blog after so long...! Very interesting sights...
You must also check out the avare bele mela at Sajjan Rao Circle that happens in Jan every year... The yummiest dishes, ALL containing avare bele, are whipped up in food stalls that line the street outside Vasavi condiments.

Radha: Thanks. There were the innocent children and some extremely kind vendors...

Ms.N: It is fascinating, isn't it, how in the everyday places one finds the most poignant scenes

Joshi Daniel: Thanks.

The Yossarian: Thanks so much for mentioning the Avare Bele mela.
